Balance: equal weight

Do you struggle to achieve balance in your life?

Perhaps that is because there are multiple definitions and examples of balance…

I have been thinking about balance a lot lately…

Several examples have shown me that there are multiple ways to achieve balance in life

This month I am going to visit different examples of how we can achieve balance.

Some of them are different than you may have considered before…

I hope to expand your definition so you can pick the one that works best for you based on different situations.

Perhaps finding BALANCE in balance…

One definition of balance is “equal weight”

Like when stacking small rocks on top of each other.

Or standing squarely on two legs, unmovable.

Certainly this definition has its place in life and is useful.

For example, during a ferocious storm I’m kind of jealous of the rocks that stand tall and unmoving…

As I’m getting blown about and tossed around, my hair whipping in the wind.

As our economic and political climate gets more ferocious, I’m grateful to be standing in holy places and still in my testimony of Jesus Christ…

Knowing that whatever happens, I trust Him, and His plan – however it shows up in my life!

This brings me peace!

With all the chaos, noise, and many conflicting choices – sometimes it’s nice to stand on two feet, equally balanced and pause, observe, think, pray, and listen.
