Increase Your Belief

I know I make this sound like it’s so much fun and easy…

Well, it can be fun if you allow it, and it gets easier with practice…

But along the way, you are going to need to practice managing your brain.

Our inside thoughts/feelings – world – is reflected on your outside world (things, lifestyle, relationships, etc.)

As much as you might not like it, where you are now is where you feel most comfortable.

When you want something different, but don’t do the mental and emotional work, nothing will change.

However, if you are willing to practice thinking and feeling differently, eventually that will cause what researches call “cognitive dissonance.”

Meaning, what you see and experience around you doesn’t match what you think and feel inside.

This feels chaotic and uncomfortable!

Most people just go back to settling, so they can feel comfortable again (even though they don’t like it).

However, if you are willing to feel the discomfort long enough, subtle changes will begin to happen…

You will find yourself responding in your relationships differently.

You will find ways to improve your surrounding environment to support your new thoughts.

You will feel the motivation to take that inspired action.

You will surround yourself more often with people who support the person you are trying to become.

If you persist in BELIEVING, you will be able to change your outside world to reflect your new inside world – and the cognitive dissonance goes away.

It’s quite a miraculous process really, and it is best explanted by experiencing it.

Another great way to practice believing is to set goals.

Setting goals gives your brain a plan and a direction.

Your brain won’t fight back as much, if you give it a plan and some direction.

It likes the dopamine it receives when you reach goals.

If you can break down your goals into little accomplishments (for me that is sometimes 15 minute actions), it will like that even more, because it will get more dopamine.

It also helps you look back and see your progress, which encourages you to keep going.

As you get closer to your goals, your BELIEF will become stronger and stronger.

In fact, this goes both ways.

The more you believe, the more actions you’ll take…

The more action you take, the more you will believe.

It’s a win, win!

Also, achieving what you want does require action on your part…

So get started with setting some goals and looking for those inspired actions.

Take it one step at a time.

You’ve heard the definition of insanity…
“Doing the same things over and over again, and expecting a new result.”

When you “do” the same things over and over, it simply means, you haven’t started thinking and feeling differently…

So you must be willing to try a new BELIEF!

As you practice this new belief, your feelings will change, and so will your actions, giving you new results…

But it starts with BELIEVING something different and creating the emotions ahead of time, before you have it.

Try on lots of new beliefs, play with them.

You might find you like some, and others you actually don’t.  That’s okay, you’re trying to discover what you truly want.

Let your BELIEF adapt, shift, and grow as you do.

Sometimes these ideas come in stages, line-upon-line, here a little and there a little…

Let the spirit guide you and be humble enough to listen.

–If you are looking for new belief’s but you are struggling, message me and we’ll see if I can help point you to a good book for your circumstance that might give you lots of new beliefs to play with.
