Who do you take your curiosity to?
The fear of asking questions, broadening your perspective, and “doubting…”
Come from not knowing to WHOM you seek answers from.
The world is filled with lots of advice and perspectives from the natural man.
Be careful and prayerful who you read, listen to, etc.
Much of what I have learned came from reading and listening to other people’s stories, tips and
tools.
I have often been led by the spirit to read certain books by men/women for answers to my
questions and felt the spirit confirm those answers to me.
BUT I always took what I listened to, read, and learned TO THE LORD for confirmation.
The Lord then helped me discern what was absolute truths, and what was opinion and their
perspective.
I have also spent tons of time in the scriptures and general conference talks searching for
answers and for greater understanding. This time is my most cherished time of the day.
The Lord has given us so many wonderful resources to learn from, good books, scriptures,
prophets and apostles, family members and friends…
But ALWAYS take your CURIOSITY to the LORD!!!
If you do this, you will stay on the straight and narrow path!
I think leaning into our curiosity allows us to be more trusting of God.
Maybe life isn’t what you thought it would be…
Maybe it looks different and it’s not the plan you had in mind…
This is especially hard when you think you’ve done everything right along the way…
Joseph of Egypt was the favored son, yet he found himself as a slave most of his life…
Yet, he must have had a healthy dose of curiosity…
This curiosity and submission to God’s will, led him to TRUST GOD!
And learn to become all he did – saving several nations.
As we are curious, we become humble, teachable, and submissive…
We wonder “what is God’s will for us,” instead of our own will for us…
Leaning into this healthy curiosity, leads us to a closer relationship with God and we begin to
trust Him more!
And with Him as our trusted guide, He can help us become who we need to be.
So practice a little more curiosity, when you are self coaching.
It’s actually really fun!
