Feeling God’s Light and Love
“At times we find ourselves knowing that God loves His children…
But we struggle to feel His love for us personally.
Or we know that God answers prayers,
But we doubt He hears ours.” -Eric Adams
Can you relate?
One key to “feeling” God’s light is being close to Him and working on OUR end of the relationship with Him. Spend time with Him; in His words, in His house, with His people.
When that isn’t working or isn’t enough try spending more time in the sunshine, eating more healthy foods (maybe even getting more calcium or magnesium), spend time in nature, quiet your mind and listen, do something fun, be still and let God work on all the questions and concerns in your head, let go and let God!
Whatever your circumstance…
Don’t give up, keep reaching…
One thing is for certain…
Lean on the light of those around you, that is okay to…
God LOVES His children, and He is always reaching out to us!
Hold onto the light you already have!
Do what you can to expand that light and trust that it is happening, whether or not you can see it.
The darkness will lift, the fog will go away, there is always HOPE in Jesus Christ! –If you are struggling with this heavy darkness, message me. There are some simple but powerful things you can do and He lifts you out of the fog.

Be the Spark
There is a video that has been circulating on social media…
In it there is a person holding two lighters…
Both are working just fine and have dancing flames.
One lighter is then submerged in a cup of water and then removed.
When the person tries to strike the flame, nothing happens. The spark is out.
Even though the lighter doesn’t have its own spark anymore, when the light from the other lighter touches its top, it immediately ignites again.
There is great symbolism here and much we can learn from this example.
This mortal existence isn’t easy…
Sometimes it feels like our lives have fallen apart and our light and spark has gone out.
I am grateful for people who have been there to help re-light my flame in those times when all lights seemed to have gone out.
They came to me in those dark moments and shared their light, love, and friendship…
Sometimes it was the spark I needed because the fuel (my testimony) was still strong.
Other times they had to sit with me and fan the flame longer, until my testimony built up again and finally caught fire.
In gratitude, I am striving to be one of those people who is ready, eager, and willing to help others re-light their flames when their spark has gone out.
As God’s covenant people, we have a gift and a calling to be willing and eager to share the light within us with those around us…
Often in small and simple ways!
We can bring hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless, and make things possible that seem impossible, etc.
We are His hands…
We can assist others in lighting their hope, joy and belonging by giving them a spark again.
–Ponder on a time when someone blessed your life with this gift. In gratitude give that gift to someone else this season and strive to make this part of your way of living. Put a heart in the comments if you want to take this challenge.
